Lecturer – Cultural Diversity (Postgraduate)

Required Knowledge (qualifications & experience): Cultural Diversity, Education and Social Psychology

Specific duties include:

  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations and workshops.
  • Unit coordination with mother campus.
  • Mark and assess student assignments/individual and group projects.
  • Student counselling in connection with teaching and learning issues
  • Undertake administrative functions for the unit as required under the direction of the Academic Director.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A PhD in education or social psychology, or as a minimum a Master’s degree by Research (it could be MEd or MPsych but not a coursework degree). Note: if the Master’s degree by research is in psychology, it must be social psychology – i.e. not clinical psychology, not organizational psychology, not cognitive psychology)
  • A solid academic background in the field of psychological issues related to cultural diversity, intercultural interactions, sociocultural dynamics and intercultural learning as they apply to the contexts of education and/or work
  • Experience of teaching in this area, designing class activities that induce participants to reflect upon and interpret their experiences in the light of theory, concepts and prior research
  • Experience of writing for an academic audience (such as a publications record)
  • Successful experience of tertiary teaching at postgraduate level
  • Experience of adapting unit materials to develop teaching resources to suit the specific needs and interests of the students in the group
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with students in a variety of learning contexts
  • Experience of working with diverse range of students
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Work experience in the UAE is a must.

Other Requirements:

To be considered for this role, please provide the following:

  • A paragraph on the candidate’s philosophy of facilitating adult students’ learning, how this translates to their practice of teaching via seminar discussions
  • Evidence of or reference to any original research produced by the candidate (such as a research paper or presentation)

Lecturer – Human Resource Management Law (Postgraduate)

Required Knowledge (qualifications & experience): Australian Employment Law/ International Employment Law

Specific duties include:

  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations and workshops.
  • Unit coordination with mother campus.
  • Mark and assess student assignments/individual and group projects.
  • Student counselling in connection with teaching and learning issues
  • Undertake administrative functions for the unit as required under the direction of the Academic Director.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A Bachelor of Laws or an LLB plus a Master of Laws or an LLM from a reputable university. Both transcripts must be provided.
  • Evidence of relevant teaching experience in a reputed university at a tertiary level
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a Human Resource Management Capacity in any industry.
  • High level of written and oral English communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Publications in peer reviewed and professional academic journals preferred.
  • Demonstrated high-quality teaching and evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with students in a variety of learning contexts
  • Experience of working with diverse range of students

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in General Management, experience in managing risj for large multi-functional organisations and project management experience.

  • A minimum of an LLB ideally in corporate commercial law and an LLM is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of relevant teaching experience in a reputed university
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in corporate finance law (eg. Advising listed companies on fundraising, compliance, stock market listing rules, etc)
  • High level of written and oral English communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Publications in peer reviewed and professional academic journals preferred.

Head of Student Recruitment and Admission

The Student Recruitment & Admissions Manager provides leadership and operational oversight to the Admissions Department and the Student Recruitment Department.

  • Responsible for establishing and implementing long term student recruitment strategies and plans to meet lead generation and lead conversion targets on trimester basis.
  • Responsible to translate marketing activities into student acquisition.
  • Manage the admission department strategies and liaise with the admissions manager to achieve targets.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to ensure strategy alignment of both departments.

  • Manage the international agent network and travel as and when needed.

Digital Media and Marketing Assistant

Broad Function

Digital Media and Marketing Assistant is involved in all aspects of the daily duties of the Marketing and PR Department, assisting and extending support to the department. He/ She will be reporting to the Marketing and PR Manager.

Admissions Officer

The Admission officer will be dealing with admissions processes, procedures and enquiries. Enquiries are usually via email, telephone, walk- in or filled pre-registration forms. These may be either local or international enquiries. The Admissions department assists and helps drive student recruitment, by attracting prospective students to enrol in programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prospective Students
  • Counselling students about the programs offered at the UG and PG level
  • Explanation of application process for gaining entry into University
  • Managing communication between the University and the student during the application process ensuring a correct and complete application is received by University
  • Collect, maintain and review all material submitted for application
  • Informing prospective students regarding the departments policies and procedures, application process, admissions criteria, visa regulations and application status
  • Coordinate Visitation programs – Campus Tours
  • Enquiry Pool
  • Proper and thorough follow up for enquiries received via Email, Physical – walk in, Telephone, and Pre Registration Forms to maximise number of applications received by department

  • Liaison with the university admissions office in Perth/ Australia regarding applications submitted
  • Provide correct and accurate reports to management
